Dear Friends of IYF,
Young people today are primarily concerned with themselves and have little concern for others. However, there is a new world that most youths have not discovered, a life beyond themselves. This new world is based on selflessness and is manifested by spending time and effort for others instead of themselves. Learning to live for others lets a person grow in ways they never thought they could.

Many youths have changed dramatically through participation in IYF programs. A heart strong enough to defeat adversity and a love for all peoples are difficult to learn without the proper environment and mentors. Apathetic and delinquent youth who had wandered in society have now learned to care for others and have grown into leaders in their connunities through the guidance and mentoring of IYF.

The IYF hopes to nurture today's youth through the heart and not through theories, statistics, and institutional techniques. IYF educates, counsels and advises young people by establishing a connection of the heart first. Our hope is that the students who meet IYF will become civic leaders that are morally strong and put others before themselves.

During the 2010 IYF World Camp in Ghana, you will have the opportunity to meet people from around the world, discuss new idears, and develop a broad mindset. We want this World Camp to be a precious and unforgettable experience for you, but more importantly, we sincerely hope it will be a turning point for your life.
