Mahanaim Academy
Mahanaim Academy is a program run by the Mahanaim Bible College. With the basis of spreading the Gospel all over the world, Mahanaim instructs students with a Christian mindset and trains them to become the leaders of the next generation through both academics and the Word of God.
Mahanaim realizes that not all students are able to make a commitment to become full time students of the Bible College. Therefore, Mahanaim has created its Academy Program so that all students can receive education that works into their lives and schedules.
Vision
The goal for Mahanaim Academy is to offer education and instruction in numerous fields to a wide range of students spanning all ages and backgrounds. Focus is not put on just education in academics, but also on the Gospel and the Word of God.

Program of the Academy
1) Theology
The Theology class is dedicated to unraveling the mysteries of the Bible and teaching students how to convey the Word as a source of life, hope, and faith in God. This course will detail the Bible in its entirety and has been broken up into sections appropriate to different pervading Biblical themes. Instruction includes Bible lecture, fellowship, etc. The class will be taught by missionaries who have graduated from the Good News Mission School in South Korea.
2) Computer
In today’s global society, the need for fast and efficient communication as well as information technology is apparent. The Computer class will teach students a wide range of computer applications including: MS Office, HTML, Adobe, and also Internet usage. Mahanaim houses a computer lab with both working desktops and laptops which the students will use to get hands on training as they are instructed by trained and experienced Mahanaim teachers.
3) Language
Ghana is becoming a nation full of culture and diversity, with interests from abroad. That means that in order for Ghana to become a global competitor, it must have a qualified and skilled workforce ready to interact and work with the rest of the world. The basis of all interaction starts with communication. Mahanaim Language academies will start from the basics of the language and by the end of the year; students will have basic knowledge and skills in grammar, vocabulary/spelling, listening/conversation, and reading. Languages are taught by foreign volunteers from the International Youth Fellowship. Mahanaim offers English, Chinese, French, and Korean.
4) Dance
Because Mahanaim is an international school, it takes pride in displaying its energy and culture. This is done through dance and choreography made through the IYF working together with Mahanaim. Students will be in an exercise environment rather than the classroom and will have time to move to the music and break a sweat! Each month will be devoted to either one or two dances depending on the difficulty of the dance and how fast students learn. Students will learn both IYF choreography dances as well as cultural dances from all continents.
5) Tae Kwon Do
Low block! Side Kick! Punch! Tae! Kwon! Do! It is always good to be ready to defend oneself no matter what situation one encounters. Mahanaim offers students a chance to learn the traditional Korean martial art Tae Kwon Do. Tae kwon do, which literally means “foot fist way” will challenge students both physically and mentally as they learn the different techniques of self defense taught by our Tae Kwon Do black belts from the IYF’s Volunteers. This class is also in an exercise environment where students will be engaged in constant physical activity.
Student Life
1) Spiritual Counseling
Spiritual Counseling is offered to any Mahanaim Academy student at the Counseling Center. Students can make appointments to discuss their spiritual, personal, and emotional concerns confidentially. Any member of the faculty, staff, and administration is available to students.
